Kathleen C. Roberts, a Wappingers Falls, New York resident passed away on Sunday, May 25, 208 at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was 91.

Roberts was baptized in 1928 at White Oak Run Baptist Church, Rapidan, VA. She moved to Poughkeepsie in 1931, and attended Poughkeepsie High School. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for 15 years and sang in the choir. She was employed as a machine operator for Stardust for 15 years and was a retired nurse's aide for the Hudson River Psychiatric Center with 23 years of service. She was a charter member of the Second Baptist Church, which organized July 18, 1946. She was the first president of the Second Baptist Church Senior Choir and a member of the deaconess board and the pastor's aide.

Roberts was born in Rapidan, Virginia on January 12, 1917 to the late George Greene and Ella Parker. She is survived by one son, William Roberts of Loma Linda, California; Two grandchildren, Steward Barnes, Jr. and Michelle Walthall and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, William Roberts, daughter, Merle Barnes and grandson, Anthony Barnes.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Second Baptist Church, 36 Vassar Street, Poughkeepsie, New York.  Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Second Baptist Church, 36 Vassar Street, Poughkeepsie, New York. Robert L. Bruce, Officiating.
Interment will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
