Ferdinand W. Clarke
Ferdinand W. Clarke passed away on on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Victory Lake Nursing Home in Hyde Park, New York. He was 88 .

The forty year resident of Poughkeepsie, New York was a carpenter for many years. He attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and was a member of Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Poughkeepsie.

Clark was born in Trinidad , Port of Spain on October 1, 1919 to the late Joseph Clarke and Violet. He is survived by his wife, Doris Palmer Clarke at home; One son, Andrew Clarke and wife Lorraine of Sacramento, California; Two daughters, Jennifer Cicero and Joy Marvar Clarke both of San Jose, California; One brother, Thomas Clarke of Trinidad; One sister, Sheila Myers of Brooklyn, New York; Ten grandchildren and Eleven great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by parents and son, Michael Clarke.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church, 124 Smith Street, Poughkeepsie, New York. Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church, 124 Smith Street, Poughkeepsie, New York. Reverend Dr. H. Dwight Bolton, officiating.

Interment will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
