Newburgh - USA Athletes International and the Curacao Softball partnerships have selected Newburgh resident and NFA alumni Jolene Arroyo to be a part of the softball team that is currently representing the United States at the Curacao Friendship Series on the Island of Curacao.
Since the 9th grade, Arroyo has worked locally at Maximum Fitness Gym in Newburgh, where she practices in the batting cages and developed her left-handed hitting ability, a skill that helped her get picked for team USA.
USA Athletes International is responsible for the selection of coaches and athletes for the USA team this year. Coach Christie Hall from Southern Oregon University leads a roster of 14 players from across the United States. |
