BEACON - On Sunday June 1st, the Hudson Valley Hawks took on the Elmira Bulldogs in a NPBL contest. The Final score was 133-128 with the Bulldogs edging out the Hawks. The Hawks drop to 4-9 on the season and the bulldogs improve to 10-3 and sit on top of the NPBL as the league prepares for post season play. Leading scorers for the Bulldogs were David Ruffin with 40 points, Mackenzie Clark with 17 points, and Tychicus Snow with 27 points. Hawks leading scorers were Tay Fisher with 27 points 9 steals, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, Dayshawn Wright 23 points, and Rob Patterson Brown with 18 points, and 5 assists. Kevin Pegram had 14 rebounds down low for the Hawks. The Hawks as a team shot 46% from the field and a season low 13% from behind the ark.
The Hawks look to make a post season run and repeat as NPBL champions when they kick off the NPBL playoffs June 14th 7pm at Beacon High School , the Hawks will take on the Westchester Monarchs.
