Beacon -  On Saturday April 26th the Hudson Valley Hawks took on the Delaware Destroyers in a NPBL match up. The final score was 119-113 with the Hawks coming out on top improving their record to 3-6.

The Hawks three guard lineup proved to be lethal as starting guards Willie Coleman, Tay Fisher, and Justin Skipwith each had huge games. Coleman had 31 points, and shot 50% from behind the three point arc. Tay Fisher ended with 29 points, shooting 7/12 from behind the arc. Fisher also had 3 assists, and 3 steals. Skipwith had 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Hawks Head Coach Adam Spencer said the Hawks are begining to control the tempo of the game and the result - wins. The first half demonstrated that with only a two point difference between the two teams. But it was the Hawks defense that won the game, according to Spencer.

The Hawks big men contributed in a big way, as Dayshawn Wright and Kevin Pegram each had 10 rebounds. As a team the Hawks shot 47% from the field and 44% from behind the three point line.

The Hawks look to continue their success as they take the road against the Virginia Avengers on May 10th. The Hawks next home game is May 11th at 3pm at Beacon High School and the team will be taking on their in state rivals the NY Strikeforce.
