NEWBURGH – The Mount Saint Mary College men’s basketball team put up its highest scoring output of the season in a 92-53 rout of Skyline Conference opponent Maritime College on Saturday at the Kaplan Center. The win clinches a season sweep of the Privateers.

Senior guard Joe Stabach led a balanced scoring attack for the Knights with 19 points on the afternoon. Senior forward Chris Pisciotta followed with 15 points and sophomore guard Stephen Steyer picked up 12. Senior forward Joe Henain recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 11 points and 14 boards.

The Knights never trailed in Saturday’s victory. Halfway through the first half, the Knights led their opponents by 14 at 25-11. They went on to outscore the Privateers, 22-11, the rest of the half to take a 47-22 lead into the locker room.

The Knights came out flying in the second half, quickly upping their lead to 59-29 at the 16:32 mark. The home team then went on an 18-0 run that included an eight-minute scoring drought for the Privateers to grab their biggest lead of the season at 48 points with 8:50 to play.
