SCHENECTADY – The Vassar College men’s basketball team finished their 2012-13 season with a 93-60 loss to Liberty League No. 2 Union College Saturday evening in the Viniar Athletic Center.
The Brewers finish the season with an overall record of 7-18 and 3-13 in the Liberty League. The Dutchmen end their regular season 20-5 overall and 12-4 in League play.
Despite being down 44-23 at halftime, Vassar’s offense hit five 3-pointers and made 10-12 free throws in the second half. Freshman guard Erikson Wasyl and sophomore guard Jon Safir both were perfect from the line, hitting 2-2 each.
Keven Donohue led the Dutchmen with 18 points, followed by Keith Callies who added 12. Sophomore forward Alex Snyder hit his tenth double-double of the season. Snyder ended the season with a team high 11.0 points per game and a 10.3 rebounds per game average. Smith has the most points on the team this season with 259 (10.4 ppg).
