BROOKLYN - Facing a two-point deficit at the half, Mount Saint Mary College limited NYU-Poly to just 18 points in the second half to earn a 73-57 victory on Saturday. The Knights improve to 12-6 overall (9-3 Skyline) with their fifth straight win.
Junior Chris Pisciotta led the Knights in scoring for the third straight contest, pouring in 23 points on 6-of-13 from the field and 10-of-11 at the line. He also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Senior Ryan Straub connected on 3-of-6 from three and 8-of-10 from the charity stripe to finish with 19 points in the game, while junior Donte Howell knocked in a pair of threes and connected on 8-of-10 at the line for 16 points.
Freshman Jamel Gist totaled 15 points and sophomore Stefan Stoyanovich scored 13 points to lead NYU-Poly. NYU-Poly hit on just 6-of-32 from the field in the second half.
