New Paltz - The State University of New York at New Paltz women’s tennis team (7-1, 3-0 SUNYAC) defeated the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1-1), 9-0, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
New Paltz started doubles off with a bang, winning all three matches. At first doubles, sophomores Montana Wilson and Kayla DiPaulo led the Hawks with an 8-3 victory, followed by sophomore Alli Esposito and freshman Paige Munroe at second doubles, 8-1.
The Hawks cruised past RPI in singles play as well.
New Paltz women’s tennis will conclude its fall dual-match season at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th, against Vassar College at home.
