Four Red Foxes Named First Team All-MAAC

POUGHKEEPSIE - Four different Marist women's tennis team members were named First Team All-MAAC, and Erin Godly (Verona, Ky.), Alexa Strange (Valencia, Calif.), and Cassie Strange (Valencia, Calif.) were named First Team All-MAAC in both singles and doubles. Three Red Foxes were selected Second Team All-MAAC as well.

Godly, a senior, was the top pick at second singles after going undefeated in the MAAC, and twins Alexa and Cassie Strange were named First Team at third and fourth singles.

Marist's top two doubles pairs received First Team All-MAAC accolades. Godly and Alexa Strange were selected at first doubles, and senior Christine Ong (Tarzana, Calif.) and Cassie Strange were picked at second doubles.

Ong was Second Team All-MAAC at first singles, and junior Mirelva Colon (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) was named Second Team at fifth singles. Colon and teammate Natalie Fouché (Queens, N.Y.) were second teamers at third doubles.

Marist will face #10 Southern California in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
