Red Foxes unveil men’s soccer schedule for 2013

POUGHKEEPSIE – Head coach Matt Viggiano and the Marist Athletics Department recently released the 2013 men’s soccer schedule.

Marist will open the season on the west coast, playing at UC-Irvine on Aug. 30th. The team will then take on UC-Riverside on Sept. 1st.

The Red Foxes will return to the east coast for two more road games at Villanova on Saturday, Sept. 7th and Army on Wednesday, Sept. 11th.

The Red Foxes will play their first contest at Tenney Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14th against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. They will play their second straight game against an opponent from America East when Hartford visits on Tuesday, Sept. 17th at 7 p.m. The homestand concludes with a match-up against Sacred Heart on Saturday, Sept. 21st at 7 p.m.

Marist will wrap up non-conference play by traveling to Brown on Friday, Sept. 27th, before opening Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play at Rider on Saturday, Oct. 5th.

Canisius and Saint Peter’s will play back-to-back games at Tenney Stadium starting with the Golden Griffins on Wednesday, Oct. 9th before the Peacocks play on Saturday, Oct. 12th.

The Red Foxes will then visit Hamden, Conn. to play Quinnipiac on Wednesday, Oct. 15th before Monmouth comes to Poughkeepsie on Saturday, Oct. 19th for a 7 p.m. contests.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23rd, Marist will play at Iona before returning to Tenney Stadium for a home match-up with Siena on Wednesday, Oct. 30th.

The Red Foxes will start November at Manhattan on Saturday, Nov. 2nd. The Marist men will then visit defending MAAC Champion Niagara on Wednesday, Nov. 6th. The regular season will close at home against Fairfield at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9th.
