WEST POINT – Army will host service academy rival Air Force on CBS on November 1 at 11:30 a.m., the network recently announced. This marks the second straight season Army and Air Force airs live on CBS. The Army-Navy Game presented by USAA is also broadcast by CBS.
While all of Army’s home games are carried live to a national audience by CBS Sports Network, the Nov. 1 contest at historic Michie Stadium will be the first time CBS has carried a game from West Point, N.Y. The last time network television aired a game from West Point, N.Y., was Nov. 9, 1996.
Kickoff times for 11 of 12 Army’s game have now been set with the start time for the Sept. 20 contest at Wake Forest expected to be released 12 days prior to kickoff.
The Black Knights are scheduled to appear on national television at least nine times during the 2014 season, including six games on CBS Sports Network, two on CBS and one on the Pac-12 Network. Television announcements for the games at Wake Forest, Yale and Kent State have not yet been determined.
CBS Sports Network will air all five Army home games: Sept. 6 vs. Buffalo, Oct. 4 vs. Ball State, Oct. 11 vs. Rice and Nov. 22 vs. Fordham. In addition, the Army-Connecticut game at Yankee Stadium on Nov. 8 will also be shown on CBS Sports Network as will the Nov. 15 contest at Western Kentucky. The Pac-12 Network will carry the Army at Stanford contest on Sept. 13.
Army will open the 2014 season, the first under new head coach Jeff Monken, on Sept. 6 against Buffalo.
