NEWBURGH - Following a pair of Skyline Conference losses to Purchase College on Saturday, Mount Saint Mary College swept Bard College on Sunday to finish the weekend at 2-2. The Knights now stand at 11-12 overall.

In Sunday's first game, the Knights jumped out to an early lead on an RBI double from freshman Mike Leone. Junior Vinnie Carminati added an RBI groundout to make it 2-0. MSMC doubled the lead in the fourth on RBI doubles from freshman Matt Cahill and senior Alec Seidman before putting the game away with three runs in the top of the seventh.

Leone went 3-for-3 with a run scored, while Cahill went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Freshman starting pitcher Logan Kurtz pitched four innings to earn the win and senior Joe CoFrancesco earned the save.

CoFrancesco would also earn the save in game two. This time, the senior closed out a 9-6 decision for the Knights, allowing junior Michael Klein to claim the win.
