Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Thomas James D. Carlson, son of Nydia M. and John G. Carlson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline.
During the course with Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, N.Y, Carlson received instruction about nuclear theory, chemistry, physics, reactor operations, safety and security. Upon completion of the course, Carlson qualified as a Naval nuclear operator.
Carlson is a 2003 graduate of Our Lady Of Lourdes High School of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and joined the Navy in December 2007.
