NWC Optimist Club honors “Students of the Month”

New Windsor - Recently, the Optimist Club of New Windsor/Cornwall (NWC Optimists) was pleased to celebrate and honor five 7^th grade students from Heritage Junior High School in New Windsor as they were recognized and selected as "Students of the Month" for September 2009 through January 2010. For the 2009/10 school year the following students were recognized: September, Renato Meza; October, Jared Sojo; November, Selena Petrilli; December, Taylor La France; and January, Paul Maitner.

At the special dinner which is celebrated twice a year, members of the NWC Optimist Club are privileged to have young men and women from Heritage recognized in front of their parents at a hosted dinner ceremony that demonstrates to the honorees, peers, parents, teachers, and club members the value of being good students and good citizens.
