Girls 2 Ladies Plant Bulbs

The Girls 2 Ladies group of Heritage Junior High School are preparing for good things to bloom as they plant bulbs around the Heritage campus recently.

New Windsor - In might be cold outside, but on Thurs., Oct. 22, 2009, warm thoughts of spring were in the air as the Heritage Junior High School’s Girls 2 Ladies group planted bulbs around the Heritage campus in New Windsor.  The group is about helping young women take an active part in their communities, schools, and personal growth.  It is with great anticipation that they start a new year and watch their efforts grow and bloom into great friendships over the winter and spring months ahead.  In fact Heritage program graduates are encouraged to come back and share with the club what life is like when they are transplanted into a new garden at Newburgh Free Academy.  The program is assisted by contributions from the New Windsor Cornwall Optimist Club and its membership, but is anchored by the hard work and love of Christine Hutchinson and Susan Martini.
