Newburgh – Mount Saint Mary College has announced the appointment of Rodney Morrison as director of admissions.
"Rodney Morrison has solid experience in the admissions field and his leadership and recruitment strategies will only make the Mount stronger," said Robert Dempsey, dean of enrollment management. "He is a valuable addition to our admissions team and will position us well in a very competitive market."
Before coming to the Mount, Morrison was a career and educational consultant, evaluating University of Pennsylvania undergraduate admissions applications and consulting for an educational advising company. He has also worked as vice president for global diversity recruiting for Lehman Brothers.
Morrison has held several positions in college recruitment. He was the associate director of MBA admissions for the Wharton School MBA Program; senior admissions officer and director of minority recruitment for the University of Pennsylvania; and assistant director of admissions for the University of Rochester.
He received a master’s degree in education and bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Rochester.
