SUNY Ulster Students Inducted Into Phi Theta Kappa

 Recently, 38 students from the Fall 2008 semester at Ulster County Community College were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for junior and community colleges.

        To join Phi Theta Kappa, a student must have a cumulative average of 3.5 or higher in at least 15 credits in a two-year degree program.  Members work   on community projects and become eligible for special scholarships when they apply to four-year colleges.

        The following students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa:

Beacon:  Thomas Malone.

Bronx:  Uniqua Massey.

Cottekill:  Matthew Markle.

Kingston:  Jeanine Eichelberger, Robert Hansen, Christopher Hilla, Cheryl Hughes, Paul Hyatt, Ian Keir, Nadine Noky, Michael Phillips, Kristy Tolman.

Lake Katrine:  Jennifer Heiselmann, Sonia Persichilli.

Marlboro:  Michael Carofano.

Montgomery:  Chad Burkhart.

New Paltz:  Karen Anderson, Claire Doherty, Yuvelca Reyes.

Olivebridge:  John Burdick.

Phoenicia:  Diego Macedo.

Port Ewen:  Nancy Liese.

Saugerties:  Anthony Curtis, Monica Kosinski, Benjamin Long, Helene Rell, Nina Schmidbaur, Gigi Williams.

Shady:  Paul Philbeck.

Tillson: Joseph Stenta.

Tivoli:  Katherine Keen.

Ulster Park:  Ashley Litts.

Wallkill:  Lauren Cemelli, Kimberlee Horn.

West Shokan:  Rachel Elmendorf, Stephen Elmendorf.

Woodstock:  Brandon Kennedy, Jinnel Rittel.
