Newburgh - Gardnertown Fundamental Magnet School student Leslie Mejia is the first girl in the school to reach 300 points in Gardnertown’s "Reading Counts" program. "Reading Counts" is a program through Scholastic where the students read books, then take tests on the computer and are scored. The program is software-based and helps develop reading skills while motivating students to take responsibility for independent reading. It also fosters friendly competition between the students. |
