Newburgh - Friday, June 27th the rain could not put a damper on the faces of 24 City of Newburgh Preschoolers who are about to embark on a new phase in their life…… Kindergarten. At the end of this summer, the Newburgh Enlarged City School district will be receiving 24 new students for the upcoming Fall 2008/2009 school year.
Some of these children will grow up to be Policeman or Fireman. Some will decide to give back and pursue a teaching degree into teaching, while still others will choose a career in the military.
No matter what career these students decide to pursue the one thing they will always have in common is the place that not only changed their diapers when they were babies, wiped their tears when they fell and patted them on the back when they learned how to spell, but they will all have in common the place that provided them with the tools for success.
The Young and Unique Christian Development School, which is located on Lake Street, it’s in its ninth year of business. The school takes children as early as six weeks and molds them into the future high school seniors of the class of 2020. The school also offers various after school programs for older kids up to the age of 12.
