Warring Magnet Academy Receives Grant

POUGHKEEPSIE - An Arts-in-Education grant submitted by Warring Magnet Academy art teacher Anita Estes for a mural project, 90 Years of Educating Culturally Diverse Students, has been selected by the Dutchess County Arts Council for funding in the amount of $1,157. Funds for this grant have been made available through the New York State Council on the Arts and, in Dutchess, Dutchess County Government.

One of the goals of the AIE Grant program is to develop projects that can be replicated at other schools within Dutchess and Ulster Counties.

Warring School, located on the corner of Smith and Mansion Streets in Poughkeepsie's north side, was constructed in 1918.
