Newburgh - The first autumn in pre-kindergarten school is a time to meet newfriends, to learn new routines, and to be amazed at the wonders of nature at this time of the year. Many classes at the Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Pre-K Center at Washington Street are taking their first field trips to an apple orchard to pick apples and pumpkins and to bring them back to the classroom for further exploration. Field trips are not just fun. They give children the opportunity to have new experiences and to learn many concepts about the world around them.
