NEWBURGH - Balmville Communications and Media Center celebrated Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Earth Day activities and stations held throughout the day incorporated English Language Arts, Math, English as a Second Language, and Science.
In addition, animals from the Museum of the Hudson Highlands and Fostertown ETC Magnet School’s Science Lab were on display for students to see up close.
"The importance of Earth Day is to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. Through our partnership with the Museum of the Hudson Highlands and the Fostertown Science Lab, we are providing our students with the opportunity to see nature up close and first hand," explained Balmville teacher Veronica Valle.
