Lewis-Campbell ready to represent Temple University

Wanda Lewis-Campbell

On September 23, Dr. Wanda Lewis-Campbell picked up her office phone to an unexpected caller - Temple University President Dr. Neil Theobald.

Dr. Theobald had a special invitation for Dr. Lewis-Campbell to attend the President’s investiture on Friday, October 18th, not as a spectator but as an active participant.

Dr. Lewis-Campbell will represent all Temple University staff - from Main Campus to Japan, Ambler to Rome - during the ceremony. On October 17th and 18th, coinciding with Homecoming 2013, the University will celebrate the formal investiture of Dr. Theobald as Temple’s 10th president.

The celebration will include the investiture ceremony, day-long academic symposia and an evening concert.

Lewis-Campbell is a 1971 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and the niece of Runston T. Lewis who was Newburgh’s first African American School Board President.
