NEWBURGH - On Monday, December 17, 2012, Newburgh Free Academy students and teachers visited Elant at Meadow Hill Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Safe Homes of Orange County, to deliver holiday gifts and cheer.
This project is headed every year by Karen Stafford and Chris Cotton of the Liberal Arts and Science House at Newburgh Free Academy. Donors are teachers, students and staff, from both NFA campuses.
The Emma’s Stockings initiative is named in memory of Stafford’s late grandmother, Emma Cocchia of New Windsor, who helped all in her path with her great generosity.
