Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, Cornwall-on-Hudson), a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served 23 years on active duty in the United States Army, recently hosted the sixty second annual "West Point Day" at the New York State Capitol in Albany.
"West Point Day always means so much to me," said Senator Larkin. "The sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces are an inspiration to all of us. I hope the cadets who were here today know how much the State of New York supports them and believes in their mission. The United States Military Academy in an integral part of our country’s history as well as New York’s history and West Point Day is our way of saying thank you."
To commemorate the Academy’s visit, the Senate and Assembly adopted Legislative Resolutions honoring the establishment of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a Proclamation declaring April 30, 2014 as West Point Day in the State of New York.
