Neuhaus Opens County Executive Office to Residents

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus
GOSHEN – Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus has announced the opening of a brand new office to kick off his administration and provide county residents with greater access to their local government. The County Executive’s new office is located at 40 Matthews Street in Goshen and is open Monday through Friday beginning every morning at 8:30 a.m.

The County Executive’s office was previously located at the Department of Emergency Services headquarters on Wells Farm Road. It moved there following extensive flood and mold damage to the County Government Center in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The County Executive’s office can be reached at 291-2700. The County District Attorney’s office and Orange County Partnership are also located at 40 Matthews Street.

“Orange County government is open for business. Our residents deserve a government that is accessible and on call to hear their concerns. That’s why my first action as County Executive was to fulfill my promise to open the new 40 Matthews Street office in order to provide a convenient location for our families,” said Neuhaus.

In addition to a brand new office, County Executive Neuhaus also announced the members of his administration and their titles.

Wayne Booth will serve as Deputy County Executive. Mr. Booth was previously the Supervisor for the Town of Newburgh.

Steve Gross is the Director of Operations and Commissioner of Human Resources. He served as Deputy County Executive under former County Executive Ed Diana.

Alicia D’Amico is Assistant to the County Executive. Prior to joining the office of the County Executive, Ms. D’Amico was a management executive at the Collegiate Church Corporation, a consortium of faith groups and ministries in New York City.

Langdon Chapman is County Attorney. Mr. Chapman has worked as Counsel to three State Senate Committees, including the Senate Judiciary Committee; Counsel to the Ulster County Legislature; and as City, Town, and Village attorney to various municipalities in Delaware, Sullivan, and Orange Counties. He also practiced law privately at the firm of Bonacic & McMahon LLP.
Dain Pascocello is Assistant to the County Executive serving as his Communications Director. He previously worked as a press secretary at the US Congress.
