MILTON - On Thursday October 3, 2013, Assemblyman Skartados (D-Milton) went apple picking at Prospect Hill Orchards in Milton, and met with orchard owner Steven Clark and his family.
"I encourage families across the Hudson Valley to visit local orchards this fall. Pick-your-own orchards are a lot of family fun, not to mention economical. Farm stands also have a bounty of healthy fruits and vegetables this time of year. Stock up on locally-grown foods and enjoy fall," said Assemblyman Skartados.
He also encourages families to attend the Heart of the Hudson Valley Bounty Festival, 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, October 5 at Cluett Schantz Memorial Park in Milton. More information on this event can be found at hvbountyfestival.com. Pointing out that there is much for your families to do this fall, right here in the Hudson Valley, Assemblyman Skartados has prepared a list of family-friendly activities. You can get a copy by calling his office at 562-0888 or downloading the Adobe PDF at tinyurl.com/fall-passport.
