NEWBURGH - A founding committee of RN’s from area hospitals attended a dinner on October 22, 2012 at the Area Labor Federation offices in Newburgh to kick off “The Hudson Valley Nurses Committee for Sean Maloney.”
“We are supporting Sean Maloney because of his commitment to maintain and support Medicare and Social Security” said RN Erica Broussard of Orange Regional. “His opponent, Congresswoman Nan Hayworth is promoting a voucher plan for Medicare and we believe this will harm many of our patients, many who are fragile. Medicare and Social Security are neither Republican or Democrat, they’re just humane and earned by our seniors.”
Among the attendees were RN’s from Vassar Hospital, Orange Regional. St Luke’s Newburgh, Bon Secours hospitals and local area Nursing homes. |
