Girl Scouts Raise Funds for Hospital

The Woodbury Junior Girl Scout Council Troop # 326 presents a donation check to Orange Regional’s Foundation President Christine Maraia.
Middletown - Recently, nine young women from the Woodbury Junior Girl Scout Council Troop #326 presented a $500 check to Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation President Christine Maraia. The troop held a dance and all monetary donations collected were donated to Orange Regional’s Capital Campaign, Building for Excellence.

The gift will be used to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Rowley Family Birthing Center in the new hospital. Troop Leaders Christine Leonard and Leslie Stella noted how important it was to the girls that they help other children.

“The community response to our Capital Campaign to help build the new Hospital has been tremendous with nearly $20 million raised,” said Christine Maraia.  “It is truly inspiring to have young people get involved to help their community.”
