AKA's Walk for a Purpose

Poughkeepsie - Members of the Iota Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. joined with friends, family and community members on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Walkway Over the Hudson bridge to participate in a synchronized Global Solidarity Walk designed to raise awareness about the importance of fitness and unity. Linking hands and stepping off at the same time worldwide, the members once again sent a strong statement about the importance of emotional, spiritual and physical health.  Hudson Valley Press/CHUCK STEWART, JR.
