City Manager Richard F. Herbek has lifted the
State of Emergency in the City of Newburgh effective at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 27, 2010. The
emergency shelter in the West Street School , 39 West Street will be open until 6 p.m. Sunday night.
Power continues to be restored throughout the City and the roads are being re-opened. Residents are urged to use caution when traveling and to abide by the Snow Emergency which remains in effect. Residents are also asked to assist the City of Newburgh Fire Department by clearing the snow away from hydrants near their homes
