The story behind Rev. Mills

Frederick H. Mills was born and raised in Queens, New York. Moving to Buffalo to attend college afforded him the opportunity to serve ten years in ministry at the Love Alive Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church where the pastor is Overseer Jeffery B. Bowens. God has empowered him with the skill, integrity and passion to effectively communicate God’s unadulterated Word of Truth. He is being used by the Holy Spirit to inspire those who are seeking Christ and has been anointed to teach believers how to live holy. God further orchestrated his life by relocating him to Poughkeepsie, New York. There, he served, submitted, and assisted in the ministry at the Beulah Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie where the pastor is the Reverend Jesse V. Bottoms. He was the Servant Leader over the Agape Family Ministry working closely with the married couples and their families. He taught adult bible classes for the Christian Training Center (CTC) and taught a weekly Adult Sunday School class. He substituted for absent Pastors for Sunday morning services throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. He has been awarded various certificates and awards from community boards and organizations he serves. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a special coursework in biblical studies from the State University a New York College at Buffalo. May 2006 he received a Masters of Theological Studies from the Louisiana Baptist University. In April 2006, Reverend Mills was installed as Pastor of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Beacon, New York. Since Pasturing Star, the membership has been steadily increasing with God at the forefront of ministering.

Rev. Mills has over fifteen years experience in ministering to families, married couples, singles, children, single parents, and inmates in correctional facilities. In addition to ministerial duties he has worked in the commercial banking and investment industries for over 18 years. He has been happily married 17 blissful years to his Wife for Life, Latricia D. Mills and is the proud father of three wonderful children, Jade, Jazmin, and Juyuan Mills. Currently they reside in the Town of Poughkeepsie, New York.
