Celebrating the 4th of July in the City of Newburgh

NEWBURGH - In the City of Newburgh, it wouldn’t be July 4th without fireworks. This year’s fireworks display will be launched from the grounds of the former Consolidated Iron site (adjacent to Gully’s restaurant), on Friday, July 4, at approximately 9 p.m.

Billy Joe’s Ribworks joins the City of Newburgh as a major sponsor this year.

"The community always looks forward to July 4th. This year, we are anticipating an impressive display by Legion Fireworks. We are very grateful for our major sponsors, and for the support of the Greater Newburgh Partnership, who sponsored the fireworks for the last two years," said Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo, who has organized the celebration since the 1970’s.

Events will begin at noon at UNICO Park. Artist/Vendor space is available on a first-come, first served basis. Please contact Ann Kuzmik at 569-7354 or Deputy Mayor Regina Angelo at 565-5429 for an application or information.
