Big Brothers Big Sisters Set for Fundraiser

Members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority and alumni who have supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County’s “Bowl for Kids Sake” have signed up again for the signature fundraiser.

NEWBURGH - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County’s annual signature fundraiser, Bowl For Kids Sake is set to roll out on Sunday, April 6th 2014 from 12PM – 5PM at Bowling Time Lanes in New Windsor, and the organization is calling for all across the county to get involved. Whether you throw strikes or gutter balls doesn’t matter. This event is all about raising the funds needed to keep proven-effective, preventative mentoring programs going strong for children in our community.

Join us a bowler – get your team to help by raising funds for our team – or as a corporate event sponsor. Then come to our bowling ‘thank you’ party and enjoy great food, music, prizes, fun and fellowship. Can’t be there? No problem. Be a virtual bowler and fundraise online, or simply make a donation to the cause – our kids are counting on you. However you choose to give support, you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of helping children beat the odds and grow up stronger.

Corporate sponsors include Fox Radio; Goldstein, Karlewicz and Goldstein; Hudson Heritage Federal Credit Union, Maser Consulting, Manza Family Farm, and others – but many more are still needed to help the organization reach the $50,000 goal. Anyone, including schools, church groups, service clubs, community civic groups, families, friends, businesses, can form a fundraising team – just like Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, and Walden Elementary School. So come join the fun along with teams like "Mines in the Gutter", "Pin Pushers", and "Livin’ On A Spare"!
