NEWBURGH - Newburgh Free Academy Photography Club students are working on a community service project to help local animals in need this holiday season. The exhibit features photographs of cat and dogs available for adoption at the Town of Newburgh Animal Shelter. The prints are available for purchase, mounted and ready for framing.  The exhibit will be on display in the NFA Art Gallery from now until January 15, 2014. The exhibit will be closed during winter recess from December 21st until January 6, 2014.

Students are also collecting food and pet items as part of the gallery event.  In addition, students are filling boxes with old shoes as part of the shelter’s ongoing shoe program. The shelter receives .99 per pound for old shoes. Shoes and donated pet items can be brought to Newburgh Free Academy or to the shelter.
