NFA Crew Team Thankful for Support from the Community

The Friends of Newburgh Crew, Inc., an organization that raises funds to support the NFA Crew Team, hosted a pancake breakfast with Santa.
NEWBURGH – This past Saturday, Dec 7th, The Friends of Newburgh Crew, Inc. a 501c3 organization that raises funds to support the NFA Crew Team hosted a breakfast with Santa pancake fundraiser.  They also pulled their semi-annual mega raffle winners for a TV and an iPad Mini.  Darryl Sheridan President of FONC shared, “It was wonderful to be able to host an event in the city of Newburgh at the former Fiesta Restaurant on Broadway.  We were happy to bring smiling faces to our visitors.  We were also ecstatic that our TV winner purchased the winning raffle at the waterfront during this past Labor Day Weekend.  The winner, a Town of Newburgh resident, said that she needed a TV so she took a chance and purchased a raffle.  We’re grateful for the community’s continued support.”

One visiting mom shared that the Santa was so sweet, he enjoyed all that the children did. After the breakfast, the crew team gave back to the community by donating their unused items to the Newburgh Ministry which believes in the dignity and worth of each person.  One team parent, Sonia Abrams, shared “It’s important for the kids to learn to give back to their community especially after they’ve received so much support.”  For more information on how to support the Newburgh Free Academy High School Crew Team  email friendsofnewburghcrew
