NEWBURGH - On Friday, February 22, 2013, over 120 fathers, along with their daughters, attended the First Annual Daddy-Daughter Dance hosted by the City of Newburgh 21st Century Program, Recreation and Youth Bureau and Newburgh Enlarged City School District at the Activity Center located at the Delano-Hitch Recreation Park.
The Daddy-Daughter Dance provided an opportunity for fathers and significant role models to spend some quality time with their daughters/mentees, allowing them to strengthen their bonds and enjoy each other’s company in a fun and safe environment.
Fathers and male role models that attended the event received Father Toolkits filled with resources for men that cover a variety of subject matters ranging from supporting their child’s academic achievement to men’s health advice.
