The following is a letter from Rev. Terry Dorsey, Pastor of the New Life Deliverance Church, who recently celebrated his 10th Pastoral Anniversary:
To the Officers and Members of New Life Deliverance Church Family, from the heart of the Pastor:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This is going to be very difficult if not nearly impossible to put into words how I feel about the New Life Deliverance Church Family. God has blessed me to pastor the most accommodating, compliant and cooperative congregation that can be found anywhere. You have allowed me to lead you from 63 Liberty St. W.H. from a three member apartment to our home that the Lord blessed my wife and I with - 105 Carson Avenue, then to our church home where we are today; 233 Broadway... yes you have supported me in what I have presented to you. You have kept me in your prayers and above all, you have entrusted me with the awesome responsibility to feed your soul spiritually to strengthening you for your journey home.
I do believe with all my heart that God has put us together, because what we have endured, encountered and experienced we could not have done without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In my conclusion, the words of Paul found in Corinthians 2:2-4... "for I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."
Thank you for what you’ve done, are doing and will continue to do. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I do love you all very much.
Because of Christ,
Rev. Terry Dorsey, Pastor
