State of Emergency for the Town of Fishkill

FISHKILL - Town of Fishkill Supervisor Bob LaColla declared a state of emergency for the Town of Fishkill at 11:00am. During the state of emergency, all non-essential vehicles are urged to stay off of all town roads for the safety of motorists and to provide safer conditions for emergency responders and utility crews.

The Town of Fishkill Police has assigned extra personal and patrols during the storm. Fishkill Highway Department has staged equipment in strategic locations for faster response.

Supervisor LaColla will be having a conference call with Central Hudson Gas & Electric at 2:00pm

Town of Fishkill is coordinating with Dutchess County and Red Cross of Dutchess County on sheltering needs.

Residents may phone Dutchess County 211 for additional information about shelters openings, dry ice locations and storm related updates.

Updates on shelter locations and any additional information will be available on the Town of Fishkill website at or by calling (845) 831-7800 extension 3351.

It is anticipated Interstate 84 and/or Newburgh-Beacon Bridge will close or have restrictions due to high winds.

Residents are reminded to phone 911 for life-threating emergency situations only.
