Addressing underage drinking

NEWBURGH - TEAM Newburgh and the City of Newburgh Police Department have been working to address underage drinking in the City of Newburgh and would like to recognize the following businesses for not selling alcohol to minors during the Summer 2012 Underage Compliance Check Stings:

• Dickie’s Quick Stop Liquor, 236 A Broadway
• Shell, 401 Broadway
• Hudson Valley Market, 120 Broadway
• Citgo, 515 Broadway
• Roadway Market, Inc., 166 Broadway
• Sunoco, 510 Broadway
• Paulita’s, 289-291 Broadway               
• Sunoco, 115 Lake Street
• Tienda LaPoblanita, 56 Mill Street
• Oasis, 128 South Robinson Avenue
• City Mart, 61-77 Washington Terrace
• La Jaliciense, 272 Washington Street
• J’s Liquors, 266 Washington Street
• Pete’s 271 Washington Street
• Stop 1 Market, 193 Broadway       
• Azteca Grocery, 215 Washington Avenue

TEAM Newburgh and the City of Newburgh Police Department will continue to work together with the community to address the issue of underage drinking, not only through compliance checks and stings, but also by providing to establishments free ID Verifiers, six point identification posters, ID cooler clings, and other items deemed necessary by local businesses.  Please call Dawn Wilkin, TEAM Newburgh, 845-569-0034 x14 or Lt.
