June 13th, 2012 Cosmos and Cupcakes for Causes raises funds

Cornwall - On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 the first annual Cosmos and Cupcakes for Causes event was held at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. This yummy fun event benefited three charities; the Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and St. Luke’s Cornwall Littman Cancer Center.
An amazing committee of mission driven folks steered this inaugural event to an incredible success. 15 bakers represented an array of confections from spicy to sweet with flavors such as “Peas and Carrots” by Susan Crocker for Holbert’s Catering to “Milky Way” by Kasey Posados and Jenna Caster.
Gwen deSousa with her Chocolate Espresso with Kick cupcakes was crowned the Cupcake and Cosmos for Causes Queen and presented with a crown, apron and scepter.
Over 225 guests attended the event and look forward to the second annual Cosmos and Cupcakes for Causes on June 4, 2013. |
