Goshen - Deputy County Executive of Orange County James D. O’Donnell, in consultation with County Executive Edward A. Diana has closed the Orange County Government Center at 255 Main Street in Goshen for a second day, Tuesday, August 30, due to the ongoing power outage caused by Hurricane Irene.
However, County Clerk Donna Benson’s Office will be offering the following services, filing of court papers, the processing of passports (including photos), pistol permits (partial service), and the filing of maps at the Department of Social Services Building, 11 Quarry Road, Goshen, NY 10924. Please note that this location will not be offering DMV services.
Constituents may continue to receive regular Department of Motor Vehicle services at the Orange County DMV Satellite Offices located in the cities: Middletown at 14 King Street, Newburgh at 128 Broadway, and Port Jervis at 20 Hammond Street.
Orange County Government Center employees who have not yet received duty assignments from their Department Heads will report to the auditorium at the Emergency Services Center, 22 Wells Farm Road in Goshen at their normal reporting time Tuesday for work assignments.
Orange County Courts, located at the Government Center, remain closed until further notice.
All other County buildings are open for business.
Those individuals who have reporting requirements with Orange County’s Department of Probation, located at the Orange County Government Center in Goshen, will be contacted by their probation officers.
