Orange County Closed Roads, Bridges, Airport due to Hurricane Irene



Goshen - Orange County Department of Public Works has begun assessing County infrastructure in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene reporting, as of 8 am, the following closures:

Roads

  • CR No. 1A – Edenville Road, West Street to NY Route 94
  • CR No. 4 – Maybrook Road, at McBride Lane and McBridge Lane
  • CR No. 5 – Lakes Road, at Windridge Mews
  • CR No. 11 – Mount Hope Road, Whipple Road to Van Duzer Road
  • CR No. 12 – Lower Road, Maple Avenue to Post Road
  • CR No. 13 – Kings Highway, at Railroad Tracks
  • CR No. 17 – Thompson Bridge Road, NYS Route 302 to ¼ mile in
  • CR No. 18 – New Vernon Road, at New Vernon Tavern
  • CR No. 20 – Orrs Mills Road, Thruway to NYS 32
  • CR No. 22 – Johnson / South Centerville, Bridge at Route 284 end
  • CR No. 26 – Glenwood Road, Newport Bridge to CR No. 1
  • CR No. 27 – Clove Road, Otterkill Road to Felter Hill Road
  • CR No. 65 – Angola Road, all
  • CR No. 66 – Craigville Road, at Louise Lane
  • CR No. 67 – east Main Street, Midway Road (Monkey Farm Bridge)
  • CR No. 73 – Mountain Road, Orchard Street to Field Road
  • CR No. 74 – Forge Hill Road, all
  • CR No. 79 – Pleasant Hill Road, Juenger Road to Taylor Road
  • CR No. 80 – Neversink Drive, Shinhollow Road to Painted Apron Terrace
  • CR No. 83 – Goshen Turnpike, Stony Ford to Wallkill River
  • CR No. 99 - Neelytown Road, SR 416 to Beaver Dam Road
  • CR No. 105 - Highland Road, NY 32 to Ridge Road
  • CR No. 106 – Kanawaunke Road, NY 17 to circle

Major Bridges

  • Grove Drive Bridge, Tuxedo
  • Guymard Bridge, Deerpark
  • Forge Hill Bridge, New Windsor

Airport

  • Orange County Airport, Montgomery (except for emergency helicopter use with prior permission only by calling 845-590-1305)

Please note that the above information is not a complete list, as there are numerous small roads and bridges flooded or impassable throughout Orange County.
