Goshen - Seven Elant employees were recently honored as recipients of this year’s Spirit of Elant Award for their outstanding dedication and commitment to Elant and its residents.
Those winners are: Paula Moore (Elant at Goshen ), Lilia Marques (Elant at Brandywine), Hilda Garay (Elant at Fishkill), Akiko Fox (Glen Arden), Sharon Travis (Elant at Newburgh ), Ellen Spagnoli (Elant Choice), and Sonia McLean (Elant at Wappingers Falls ).
The award was created last year to recognize stellar employees who encompass the vision, mission, and values of Elant. To be eligible for the award, an employee must: be reliable, exhibit a positive and motivated attitude, demonstrate exceptional performance, and be employed with Elant for at least five years.
"This is truly a celebration of your dedication, commitment, and spirit in providing our residents, patients, and clients with the best care possible," Elant Human Resources Vice President Catherine Lopez told recipients during a recent awards ceremony. "You all exhibit a can-do attitude and help to deliver the mission of Elant."
Spirit winners received a catered lunch, a recognition letter, a reserved parking spot for one year, an extra day off with pay, and a special "golden" ID badge. Winners will also be honored with a plaque featuring their photograph in the lobby of their campus.
