Walkers take part in March for Babies

Staff members from Orange Regional Medical Center’s Rowley Family Birthing Center joined the March of Dimes March for Babies on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Woodbury Commons. The group raised nearly $5,000 for the cause.

CENTRAL VALLEY - Staff members from Orange Regional’s Rowley Family Birthing Center raised nearly $5,000 by walking, hosting bakes and raffling themed baskets for the March of Dimes March for Babies, held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Woodbury Commons in Central Valley, NY.

Orange Regional recently celebrated the first birthday of its Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on May 7, 2013.

"Supporting the March of Dimes mission to end premature birth goes hand in hand with our skill and expertise to care for premature and critically ill babies," said Orange Regional’s Nursing Service Administrator of Women and Children, Theresa Fay Conte. "Orange Regional’s NICU is here for our community."

Full-time neonatologists, affiliated with Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, are standing ready to care for babies that require advanced medical care.
