Tajah set to release new mini CD

Singer Tajah will perform at Barnes & Noble in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, July 24, 2010.

Poughkeepsie - Out of thousands of kids who auditioned, child sensation Tajah was selected and dazzled the nation with her electrifying appearance on NBC’s "Maury Povich Most Talented Kids" show.

9-year-old Tajah will release a three song mini CD on July 27, 2010 on PMG International. Produced by Sure Fire Music Group of Lowell, Massachusetts, "Imaginary Celebrity" describes a young singer’s dream of being a superstar. "Love Goes Round," produced by DBM Productions of Philadelphia, expresses a message of love and unity for all. A dance/skate mix of the song is also on CD. At a promotional appearance on "In 60 Minutes," a community event in Newburgh, special guest DJ Mr. Vince was so impressed with the little lady’s performance that he debuted her single on his Full Throttle Radio Worldwide Show, which airs weekly on stations in over twenty US markets and nine different countries.

Tajah will be doing a meet and greet and release performance at Barnes & Noble in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

This young celebrity is no stranger to media attention - Tajah captivated and mesmerized audiences at the age of 7 with her performance on stage at the legendary Apollo Theatre. "Amateur Night at the Apollo" is anything but amateur, home to many of our legendary artists and showcasing the nation’s elite stars of tomorrow.

Tajah debuted in her first stage play when she attended a matinee performance of "The Clean Up Women" at the Beacon Theater in New York. Written, directed and produced by JD Lawrence, "The Clean Up Woman" is a professional international touring stage play, which starred Emmy Award winner Jackee Harry ("227", "Sister Sister"), Telma Hopkins ("Tony Orlando and Dawn", "Family Matters" and "Half and Half"), New Jack City’s Christopher Williams, and the late Ollie Woodson (lead singer of "The Temptations"). During intermission, Tajah sung for the director and stars of the play and was requested to make a special appearance at the 8:00 p.m. evening performance of the show. Only on stage for 30 seconds, Tajah brought the sold out audience to their feet.

Tajah has opened for Warner Bros. Records recording artist Tiffany Evans and, always giving back, Tajah performs at many functions in her hometown of Poughkeepsie and other surrounding communities. When she is not making public appearances, Tajah is in the recording studio as she prepares for the release of her highly anticipated album. Tajah engages and inspires kids, teens and adults alike. This actor, singer and songwriter is a pint-size powerhouse of vocals, spunky characteristics and positive charisma. Tajah is surely destined for great things.

  • July 25th, 2010 I am so proud of my niece Tajah. Every since she was a little girl, she was very bright and loves the Lord. She is an example to her other cousins and the young people around her. I pray all of God's blessings upon her life. Tajah continue to let the Lord spread your wings. Remember, When God opens a door for you, can't no man close it. Keep God in everything you do and you will be blessed. I love you Tajah.
