Newburgh - During the month of June, visitors to Newburgh City Hall at 83 Broadway enjoyed a Watercolor Exhibit by Janet Campbell.
Janet’s initial art education was in the Botanical Illustration Program at the Bronx Botanical Garden. This led to her interest in watercolor, where she enjoys putting into action her desire to "loosen up" in her artistic expression.
She has been fortunate to work with many inspirational teachers, including Mary Evelyn Whitehill, Dick Ochs, Mel Stabin, Judi Betts, and Eli Rosenthal.
Her work has been exhibited by the North East Watercolor Society, Orange County Art Federation, Catskill Art Society, Middletown Art Group, and Wurtsboro Art Alliance.
Janet joined with like-minded artists at the Wallkill River School in Montgomery to help preserve the farms, history, and beauty of the Mid-Hudson Valley.
