Library’s Art Exhibit

Newburgh - Oil paintings by Estrellita I. DeCouto (Ester) will be on exhibit at the Newburgh Free from June 16^th through June 30^th. A long-time resident of the Hamlet of Wallkill in Ulster County, Ester was an active high school teacher. She received a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education and Post Graduate studies before she came to American from the Philippines in 1979. She and her late husband migrated to mid-Hudson in 1986 from Brooklyn, N.Y.

Currently, the exhibit may be viewed at the Newburgh Free Library, Mon. - Thurs 9a.m. - 9 p.m.; Fri. & Sat. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sun. 1 - 5 p.m. The art show will be on display at Newburgh City Hall for the month of July 2008.
