- Nikki Records recording artist Johney Buster recently premiered his new album at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Buster, who is originally from Jamaica, now resides in nearby Kingston. He recorded his new album at Labmix studio in Poughkeepsie.

During his performance, Buster was backed by a stellar band that included Woodstock’s Ted Orr on guitar and Newburgh’s Neil Alexander on keyboards, with the vocal backup team of Madalene Phaelan and Angie Moger of Soul City. Moger is also a featured back up vocal on the CD. The concert included the charismatic Dr. J from WVKR as the evening’s MC.

The great line up also included Marks Man, Cansburberry, Squeeky Plus and Askel 45 for a great evening of Reggae. Johney’s happy personality shines through in his performance of original songs like "Kiss Me Honey, Honey" and "Shake That Body Girl". Buster paid tribute to the late, great Bob Marley as well.
